You can also visit the oldest nougat factory in Jijona, Primitivo Rovira, founded in 1850. Visits are free and you can see very old machinery, still in operation, in contrast to other nougat factories that use state-of-the-art equipment. The Museo del Turrón (Nougat Museum is also fascinating, very similar to the Museo de Chocolates Valor (Valor Chocolate Museum) in Villajoyosa, where you can relive the history of this ancient craft.
