Wineries to visit on the Alicante wine route

With this wine route you’ll be able to visit and learn about a number of places in the province in a very particular way. This tour includes the following municipalities: La Vall de Pop, Alfaz del Pi, Villena, Salinas, Algueña, Pinoso, Monóvar, Petrer, Novelda, Sax, Teulada – Moraira and Calpe.

Below are some recommendations for wineries you can visit, as well as the activities offered by each of them.

Firstly you can find the Bodegas Xaló in the Vall de Pop, which is known for its high-quality wines and spirits. This winery has more than 50 years of history and has been known as the birthplace of Moscatell since 1962. And of course, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Pinoso winery, a world-class benchmark that exports wines to all five continents. They are committed to quality, innovation and sustainability, and 50% of the vineyard area is already green. The Monastrell variety is a standout at the vineyard, as you’ll see if you book your guided tour. They will also teach you about the production of all the different wines (white, pink and red) that you can later taste.

You can continue your oenological tour through Bodegas Vivanza, El Sequé in Pinoso and some of the other areas we mentioned above. For example, there are the Bocopa wineries in Petrer, the Heretat wineries in Cesilia in Novelda and the Monóvar wineries.
